ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project is aimed at creating awareness of gender inequalities in digital media and providing training tools to address these. The project targets any media that contain gender stereotypical content, especially video games, advertisements and websites.
The project provides tools, courses and guidance for:
- Producers of digital media content – photographers, videographers, illustrators, copywriters, etc.
- Those who make digital media decisions – web designers, graphic designers, advertisers, marketing specialists, etc.
- Teachers and lecturers who are educating others on the creation and use of digital media.
LIKE Gender Equality was funded by Erasmus+, as part of the EU’s drive to make gender equality a social and professional priority.
According to the European Commission, “the media are centrally placed to shape society’s perceptions, ideas and attitudes and behaviour… They can either hinder or hasten structural change towards gender equality.”

FASTRAK CONSULTING LTD (UK)
UK-based, but working internationally, Fastrak specialises in the application of media and technology to vocational learning. Fastrak provides assistance to organisations of all types: corporate training departments, public authorities, voluntary organisations, professional bodies, new media publishers or training providers.
National association SCAS (www.scas.acad.bg) is registered as a non-profit legal entity in 1992, with 8 branches in Bulgaria. The organization activities started long before with initiatives aimed at professional development of young people and students – educational and training materials development, youth information, seminars, educational courses, practices and forums. Since 1992, SCAS has managed and implemented over 120 national and international projects.
Ni Plus Ni Moins is a consultancy specialising in Gender Equality. It advises, supports and trains public and private organisations to develop gender equality strategies and to implement induced action plans. NPNM develops gender diagnostics for public and private organisations by comparing the situation of men and women through different criteria, such as remuneration, recruitment, training, qualification, classification, promotion, health and safety, work-family balance. These diagnostics are generally followed by action plans that aim to reduce gender inequalities.
